Cultural Connections is committed to serving as a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization, where all feel welcomed and represented. 

Museums are increasingly held to account for how they are serving the full demographic diversity of their communities, and how their histories, structures, and programs have created and perpetuated barriers to participation, especially for low-income communities and communities of color. We recognize the internal work and reflection that must happen to ensure that Cultural Connections is a diverse, responsive, and equitable organization. We are committed to supporting our community of museum and cultural workers. Our short- and long-term goals include:

• Increasing the representation of Black, Indigenous, and people of color on the Cultural Connections Board.

• Increasing the representation of Black, Indigenous, and people of color amongst Cultural Connections’ program presenters.
• Increasing program honoraria to ensure equitable compensation for all program presenters.
• Minimizing the financial barriers to attending programs, membership, and accessing Cultural Connections resources.
• Centering anti-racism in our organization’s strategic priorities.
